QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: IS YOUR ORGANIZATION TRANSPARENT?
A: Yes! Our Board agrees transparency means being open and honest about our nonprofit's finances, policies, volunteers, board members, impact and more. It's a willingness to share information to help donors and residents make informed decisions about participating in and giving to our nonprofit. We are aiming to participate in Guidestar, an organization known for sharing nonprofits transparency worldwide.
Q: CAN I ORGANIZE A FUNDRAISER FOR MY FAVORITE ORGANIZATION?
A: Yes! As long as you are a resident of Elk Bend, you are able to reserve a Community Center building that may be available for fundraising. The Community Center Board will be happy to find a building that is available for you.
Q: CAN I PLAN A MEMORIAL FOR A FAMILY MEMBER THAT RECENTLY PASSED?
A: Yes! As long as you are a member of the community. The Community Center Board is very willing to help find an available building for you unless you want to make plans directly with the church.
Q: I WANT A BIRTHDAY PARTY AT THE CENTER FOR MY SON WHO IS TURNING 21.
A: Who doesn't like a fun birthday party? You certainly can plan such an event however there can be no alcohol consumption on certain building properties due to insurance liability. All parties including alcohol will be planned at the Dusty Mule. And we are happy to help with that if need be.
Q: I AM KNOWLDGEABLE ABOUT PLANTS AND WOULD LIKE TO TEACH A CLASS. CAN I DO THIS AT THE A COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING?
A: Absolutely! We encourage anyone that has a passion about something and wants to share knowledge to contact us and set up a date!
Q: I LOVE TO BAKE AND WOULD LIKE TO DO A BAKE SALE BENEFITTING THE COMMUNITY CENTER.
A: Be our guest to do so! We would be more than happy to have community members embrace the Community Center nonprofit with such fundraisers. Contact us and we will help you find just the right venue.
