Volunteering at Elk Bend Community Center to be a Board member is a great way to give back to your community and meet new people. Our Board helps with everything from event planning to facility maintenance. If you have leadership skills, enjoy planning fun or are just curious, let's talk!

***We do have an application and interview process for those seeking board positions. This also includes a background check.***

Unit Representatives Wanted!
What is a Unit Representative?
A Unit Representative is a resident within one of the four Elk Bend units who lives in the unit they are representing and acts as an official representative for their fellow residents/neighbors, advocating for their interests and input by communicating with the Elk Bend Community Center Board on their behalf. They essentially serve as a link between the unit residents and organization Board within the community.
A representative is welcome at all Board meetings but do not have voting privileges as per organization By-Laws, voting is set for Board members only. However, a rep’s voice will hold volumes within a Board meeting when bettering our township and organization. Reps are also welcome to apply for Board positions when open positions arise and/or volunteer when needed for events, etc.
Examples of a Unit Rep’s duty might include getting the unit residents interested in becoming more active in the community center, posting EBCC events within your unit, talking to residents/neighbors about how our nonprofit might be able to better your unit perhaps through fundraising or other means and/or just be a voice for those sharing ideas for better change within Elk Bend as a whole.
